How will homes look in the future?

In this article, we would like to present some interesting aspects of what homes will look in the future. Many experts and analysts try to predict future changes in the coming years in our society. For instance, they consider that Artificial intelligence through home automation, sustainability and green living, responsive architecture or co-living will be trends in future housing.

Today we already live with new technologies. For example, we have been adapting to intelligent technology and this means that we increasingly opt for a different lifestyle. Some predict that a decade from now, sustainability will be a key aspect of homes.

Best architectural design

When people imagine the house of the future, they think of a house with the best architectural design, and today this can be created with the different programs that exist in the market that show us the real design of how the house of our dreams would look like.

Definitely, There is no limit to what can be done with the external shape of the future house, but it can be shaped to suit different requirements and conditions.

According to Bayut indicates that future house architecture may include homes with stilts to avoid flooding & storms since there’s no limit to architecture but it can be shaped to fit different requirements and conditions.

Power Generation

According to Bayut, technology will be over the entire house with future house design as if it is a separate power generation station. They believe that future home design will include wind turbines, where homes will be using geothermal energy, while homes will be built underground with large basements to support this system.

Smart Mirror

We consider the smart mirror to be special as it can help people choose the best outfit to wear. in addition, it can help to show the activities that they have to do, it can work as a calendar and also from these mirrors people can also play our music, video, etc.

According to  The report, Futurology: the new home in 2050, commissioned by the NHBC Foundation mentions some predictions:

  • Energy will be stored in the home itself, with batteries charged from solar panels and/or low-tariff electricity
  • Letter boxes will be replaced by smart delivery boxes which can receive registered deliveries and store valuable parcels.
  • As climate changes, homes of the future must react, with improved responsive cooling and heating techniques.
